NOTE:
These pages are a reconstruction of my web site. A few years ago I got
"hacked" and my on line data files were erased. The images are
being slowly "beamed over" from other people's archives or made
new.

The
"Source" for all this madness > This Star Trek DVD Collection.
I
have almost all of Star Trek . . .

.
. . all sorted into that one 'CaseLogic' disk briefcase by rough in-story
time line. I hand
lettered the outside front with the STOS font. There's still room for
a few more disks! (...Star
Trek Voyager ...?
... another movie?...)
I
currently have Enterprise, The Original Series, The Animations, STNG,
DS-9, "Of Gods and Men", and all 11 Feature Movies!
MY
BACKGROUND in SCI-FI...
My
history with costuming goes back to the 1970's with the SCA, and Rennaisance
Fairs, being "Punk" and "Goth", and doing 18th century
garb... but as for Star Trek; I started dressing in TOS Klingon costume
in 1996, but went fully into it at Norwescon 2000 while doing "Movie"
Klingon garb. ... I've been preoccupied doing the "STNG" Klingon
era costuming ever since. I have done head and body casting and makeup/appliance
creation, doing Romulan, Vulkan, and mostly Klingon prosthetics for other
people. These were proceedures gleaned from previous 'on the job training'
skills in the industrial age we live in.
At
first I bought as much prefabricated (somebody else made 'em) items as
possible, but I later did a great deal of prop creation and costume building
my own self.
I
was also directly involved at the Seattle NORWESCON convention where the
"Klingon Feast / Squirrell Hunt" inadvertantly got started {KIBOSH}.
I've
since done the Susan B. Comen walk for breast cancer several times in
the above full Klingon costume [as seen hollering "Klingons for the
cure!" on the local news] and have been to Vashon Island's "Wolftown"
several times in the past, doing "Klingon Wolf Feast" activities.
I've appeared in UPN-11 TV aired commercials for the first year of Star
Trek Enterprise ["Enterprise is next on
UPN11!"] and have been at all of the season premier and
finale parties hosted by UPN-11 for that show - as an unofficial volunteer
co-host with Frank Shiers. I wore the above costume again at the premier
of Star Trek "Nemesis" special showing. I've done many Halloween
'candy giveouts' at the local mall in Sea-Tac. I was in the TV commercial
for the "PAWS" dog walk in Seattle where "Porthos"
was broght in for the dog lovers. I was even once at the Star Trek the
Experience in 'Vegas, in 2004, where I had myself a great time being a
Klingon my own self.
My
costume was even 'good enough' to have been requested for the use in the
production of a mini-series called "StarTrek: Of Gods and Men".
Watch the trailer and teasers and the three part series, you will see
J.G.Hertzler wearing the above costume!

found elsewhere, and now it has been mostly
returned ...
